First Flight

One of the best parts of getting away to the beach for the weekend is sleeping in. Unfortunately, some of the very best light you’ll find on the ocean will be at dawn, so an early morning it was! I was impressed with the rich, warm colors in the morning haze and reflected in the low surf. It wasn’t long before the composition for a new painting came to mind.
