Original Oil Painting #1 “Barely a Trace”

This is actually the first oil painting I completed after deciding to pursue fine art. It came shortly after a trip to Lake City in Colorado where I had been inspired by the incredible scenery. One such location was this beautiful valley accessible via a winding dirt road. The valley itself was once home to a growing community named “Capitol City”- a moniker chosen because the founder had hopes of it being the state capitol (and himself the governor). Today, save for a few scattered building husks, there is nothing to even hint at the small town with great aspirations.

This 11″x14″ oil painting is done on canvas panel, and every dollar from its sale will go towards helping New Braunfels Bible Church repair from the winter storm!
