The Archives of Sherlock Holmes- Signed Copy
$50.00
Over the course of two years, I decided to fulfill a long-time dream of writing and illustrating my own book. I say my own, however, the real credit goes to the brilliant author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I have been a huge fan of his Sherlock Holmes stories for years, and it is thanks to his work that I decided to enter the publishing world. In addition to the more than fifty Holmes stories that Doyle wrote, he also alluded to dozens of other cases which were never fully described. These untold stories sparked my imagination, and I decided to begin writing down my thoughts. In undertaking this challenge, I wanted, to the best of my ability, to emulate both the author’s writing and the original artist’s style in my illustrations.
This first story is The Shocking Affair of the Dutch Steamship Friesland, a case which, according to Watson, nearly cost both men their lives. I always wondered what might have happened on such an adventure, and this story is my imagining of that case. There are ten illustrations which I created for the book, which is handsomely mounted in a custom designed hardcover and dustjacket. Each copy ordered will be signed by me and shipped to you. If you would like your copy endorsed, please let me know!
